Getting There

Most travelers from Nepal fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK), Bangkok's main international gateway. Direct and one-stop flights are available from Kathmandu via major regional hubs. Suvarnabhumi is also the airport used for departure at the end of this itinerary, so keep your return ticket details handy for the transfer team.

Getting Around Pattaya and Bangkok

Pattaya and Bangkok are connected by a well-maintained highway, and the private transfer included in this package removes the need to navigate public buses or shared vans. Within Pattaya, Beach Road and Walking Street are easily reached on foot or by songthaew (shared pickup truck taxi). In Bangkok, the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway are useful for the free day, especially for reaching Chatuchak Market or Asiatique.

Coral Island in Detail

Koh Larn, commonly called Coral Island, sits about 7 km off the coast of Pattaya. Speedboats from Bali Hai Pier take roughly 30 to 45 minutes each way. The island has several beaches, with Tawaen Beach being the most popular for its calm, clear water and range of water sports operators. Snorkeling is best in the morning before the water gets busier with day-trip crowds.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Detail

Nong Nooch spans close to 600 acres and is organized into distinct themed zones, including a French garden, a cactus garden, and a mammoth-and-dinosaur display. The garden also runs a Thai cultural show and an elephant show in the same theater complex, typically four rounds a day. Because the property is large, guided golf cart or tram transport is often available for those who prefer not to walk the full grounds.

Safari World in Detail

Safari World is split into two zones: the drive-through Safari Park, where animals roam in open enclosures viewed from your vehicle, and Marine Park, home to the dolphin, sea lion, orangutan, and bird shows. Show schedules differ between weekdays and weekends, with weekends typically offering more showtimes. Plan your route through the park in advance since shows run at different arenas throughout the day.

Bangkok's Free Day: What to Do

Chatuchak Weekend Market, open only on Saturdays and Sundays, is one of the largest markets in the world with thousands of stalls selling clothing, antiques, and street food. If your free day falls on a weekday, Asiatique The Riverfront is open daily and combines shopping, dining, and river views. A traditional Thai massage, widely available across the city, is a relaxing way to close out a busy trip.

Currency and Money Tips

The Thai Baht (THB) is the local currency. ATMs are widely available in both Pattaya and Bangkok, though most charge a foreign transaction fee. Major hotels, malls, and restaurants accept credit cards, but street markets and smaller vendors are cash-only, so keep small denominations on hand.

What to Pack

Light, breathable clothing works best given Thailand's tropical climate. Bring swimwear and a change of clothes for the Coral Island day, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a reusable water bottle. Modest clothing (shoulders and knees covered) is advisable for temple visits if you add any during your free day.
