Pick by the kind of days you want. The Maldives suits couples who want quiet days at one resort, a villa and the sea. Bali mixes temples, rice terraces and beaches with island day trips. Thailand pairs islands such as Phuket, Krabi or Koh Samui with Bangkok. Sri Lanka adds tea hills and a scenic train before the beach. For a shorter trip, India has Goa, a Kerala houseboat, the Andaman Islands and Shimla and Manali.

Mangsir, the busiest Nepali wedding month, runs from mid November to mid December. In those weeks the Thai Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi and Phi Phi) is entering its dry season, Goa and Kerala are pleasant, and the Maldives and Sri Lanka's south and west coast are moving into their drier months, with some showers still possible. Bali is starting its wet season and Koh Samui is in its rainiest stretch, so those two need more weather flexibility.

Most Nepali weddings fall between Magh and Asar, mid January to mid July. From January to April the Maldives, the Thai Andaman coast and Sri Lanka's south coast are usually at their driest. From May the Maldives and the Andaman coast move into the wetter monsoon months, while Bali has its dry season from around April to October. Shimla and Manali are a cooler choice in May and June, when the plains of India are hot.

Choose one destination and keep transfers to a minimum. Short honeymoon packages of four or five days cover one destination, such as a Maldives resort, Bali, Phuket, Krabi, Goa or Kerala's hills and backwaters. With a week or more you can add a second stop, such as Bangkok with Koh Samui, Kuala Lumpur with Langkawi, or Bali with Nusa Penida or the Gili Islands. No. Honeymoon packages start and end in the destination, usually at its airport, and flights from Kathmandu are booked separately. Our team can ticket the flights for you alongside the package, or you can use flights you already hold. Send us your flight times before you book anything, because arrival and departure times shape the first and last days, and for some Maldives resorts they decide which transfer is possible.

Send your wedding date, the dates you can travel, how many days of leave you have, and whether you fly from Kathmandu or from abroad.
