The Sacred Monkey Forest that follows requires a specific note of caution: the resident macaques are quick and opportunistic, so bags should be kept closed and hats or sunglasses removed before entering, since loose items are a common target. The afternoon in Ubud town itself, with its markets and art shops, gives families a lower-key close to the day compared to the two theme-park days before it.

A Deliberately Open Day 5

Day 5 is left free by design, recognizing that a family trip with four active days already behind it benefits from unscheduled time. For families wanting more activity, the Nusa Dua marine package offers a glass-bottom boat trip to Turtle Island alongside banana boat rides and parasailing, while an indoor theme park is suggested specifically as a wet-weather backup if conditions turn.

Getting Home

The final morning is left free for souvenir shopping near the resort before checkout and the transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport, with the itinerary noting extra time built in to clear security comfortably with children in tow.

Best Time to Visit

April through October generally brings drier weather to Bali, which matters for an itinerary this dependent on outdoor days at Waterbom and the safari park. The wetter months from November through March can still work, particularly given the optional indoor theme park alternative built into Day 5, but outdoor days carry more risk of disruption.

Practical Notes for Nepali Families

Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the local currency, with exchange counters and ATMs widely available near Nusa Dua and Sanur. Sunscreen, hats, and a change of clothes are worth keeping easily accessible for both the Waterbom and Safari Park days. Since the Monkey Forest visit requires securing loose items in advance, it's worth briefing children on this before arrival rather than in the moment.
