Short answer: Dubai Miracle Garden opened its 15th season on 8 October 2026 and is expected to run until 31 May 2027 (Khaleej Times); confirm before a late-May visit, because the official website has not posted a closing date. The garden is in Al Barsha South 3 (Dubailand), opens from 9:00 am every day (closing times differ between official pages, so re-check them on the day), and is best visited on a weekday morning or from about 4:00 pm, when the heat eases and the displays light up. Most visitors need 2 to 3 hours, plus 1 to 2 more if they add the Dubai Butterfly Garden next door.
This guide is for families, couples and photographers planning a winter trip to Dubai, including Nepali families flying in from Kathmandu and the many Nepalis living in the UAE who host parents or relatives for the season. It covers the 2026 to 2027 season dates, what you will actually see, how to beat the heat, how to get there without a metro station at the gate, whether the Butterfly Garden is worth the extra ticket, how the garden works for small children and elderly parents, and how to pair it with Global Village on the same day. Every rule that changes from season to season carries a "Checked" line with the date and the source.
If you are still shaping the bigger trip, our complete Dubai travel guide covers seasons, areas, food and local rules, and the city wide list of things to do in Dubai shows where a garden morning fits among the towers, souks and desert.

When is Dubai Miracle Garden open?
Dubai Miracle Garden is open from October to late spring and closed through the summer. For the 2026 to 2027 season it reopened on 8 October 2026, its 15th season since the garden first opened in 2013. The official FAQ describes the pattern as "typically from late September or October through April or May", with the summer closure used for maintenance and replanting, because few flowers survive a Dubai summer in the open.
The garden's own website has not yet posted a closing date for Season 15. Season 15 is expected to run until 31 May 2027 (Khaleej Times); confirm before a late-May visit. Last season it closed on Sunday 31 May 2026 for the summer, according to What's On. If your trip is in May, check the official website or social media a week or two before you fly, because the final weeks are hot and the garden can change its plans.

Opening hours
The official FAQ gives typical hours of 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and 9:00 am to 11:00 pm on weekends (Friday to Sunday), with last entry 30 minutes before closing. The footer and the "at a glance" box of the same website simply say "Daily: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM", and Khaleej Times also reported daily hours of 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at the season opening. Treat 9:00 pm as the safe closing time and the later weekend close as possible but unconfirmed: if you are planning a late weekend visit, re-check the hours for your exact date on the official site the day before. Hours can also change on public holidays.
| Day | Typical opening hours | Last entry |
|---|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday | 9:00 am to 9:00 pm | 8:30 pm |
| Friday to Sunday | 9:00 am to 11:00 pm per the official FAQ (footer says 9:00 pm) | 10:30 pm, or 8:30 pm if the 9:00 pm close applies |
| Public holidays | May change | Check the day's schedule |
| Morning events (October and November) | Start before 9:00 am | Event ticket only |
Checked: 27 Oct 2026. Sources: dubaimiraclegarden.com FAQ ("What are the opening hours?") and home page footer; Khaleej Times (8 Oct 2026). The official pages differ on weekend closing, so re-check the official site on the day.
Is it open during Ramadan?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, with Eid Al Fitr around 9 or 10 March 2027, according to the UAE's Astronomy Centre as reported by The National; the exact dates depend on moon sighting. Ramadan falls in the middle of the garden season, and attraction hours across Dubai often shift during the month. Check the garden's posted hours for your date, and be considerate about eating or drinking in public view during fasting hours outside the garden's food outlets.
What does a ticket cost and how do you buy one?
Buy tickets on the official website, dubaimiraclegarden.com. You receive a QR e-ticket by email and, if you add your number, on WhatsApp; the gate scans it from your phone. Walk-in tickets are sold at the gate subject to capacity, but the official FAQ notes that booking online is the fastest way in. The official booking system listed the following base prices on the day we checked.
| Ticket (Season 15) | Adult | Child (3 to 12) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai Miracle Garden, general admission | AED 100 | AED 80 | Age 13 and over pays the adult rate |
| Dubai Miracle Garden, UAE resident rate | AED 70 | AED 50 | Valid Emirates ID, verified online through UAE PASS |
| Dubai Butterfly Garden, general admission | AED 50 | AED 50 | Separate attraction next door |
| Miracle Garden plus Butterfly Garden combo | AED 140 | Shown at checkout | Bundle saving on the Butterfly Garden entry |
| Children under 3 and People of Determination | Free | ID may be needed for age or POD verification | |
Checked: 27 Oct 2026. Sources: dubaimiraclegarden.com official booking system and FAQ; visitdubai.com ("from AED 100"); Gulf News (21 Sep 2026), which reports these prices as exclusive of 5% VAT, so expect about AED 105 and AED 84 for general adult and child tickets at checkout. Prices and promotions change during the season.
Three ticket rules are worth knowing before you pay. First, online tickets are open date: the official FAQ says they can be used on any day until the end of the current season, and you can change your planned date at the "change visit date" page. Second, every ticket is single entry, so once you walk out you cannot come back in on the same ticket. Third, all purchases are final and non-refundable, including for weather closures. If you buy through a travel app or another seller, that seller issues the voucher, and the official FAQ says the gate team cannot re-issue third-party tickets.
What can you see at Dubai Miracle Garden?
You walk a loop of paved paths through about 72,000 square metres of flower beds, arches and giant floral sculptures, more than 50 displays in all. The garden's own figure is "150M+ blooms every season"; you will see higher and lower numbers in news reports (Travels Dubai reported 200 million for Season 15, and What's On used 50 million last season), so treat flower counts as marketing rather than measurement. What matters on the ground is that almost every surface, from walls to rooftops, is planted.
The headline displays

| Display | What it is | Time to allow (official) | Best light (official) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emirates A380 | Life size floral model of the Emirates Airbus A380, covered with more than 500,000 fresh flowers and living plants | 25 to 45 minutes | Midday, and lit at night |
| Floral Castle | Fairytale castle with spires and walls covered in blossoms | 30 to 60 minutes | Golden hour |
| Heart Tunnel | Walkway of heart shaped floral arches, popular with couples | 20 to 40 minutes | Late afternoon |
| Umbrella Passage | Canopy of coloured umbrellas over a shaded walkway | Short stop | Daytime |
| Floral Clock | Giant working clock made from seasonal flowers | Short stop | Daytime |
| Smurfs Village | Mushroom houses and floral Smurfs characters | 30 to 50 minutes | Morning or afternoon |
| Floating Lady | Floral sculpture of a lady in a dress of blossoms, marked as new | Short stop | Daytime |
| Sunflower Field, Hill Top, Teddy Bear | Seasonal sunflowers, a raised viewpoint over the garden, and a giant floral bear holding a heart | Short stops | Morning for the sunflowers |

Why the Emirates A380 is the one everyone photographs

The floral A380 is the garden's signature, and it holds a real record. Guinness World Records lists Dubai Miracle Garden as the holder of the "largest flower arrangement or structure" for a flower structure shaped like an Airbus A380, measuring 72.95 m by 78.34 m by 21.98 m, achieved on 2 December 2016. The official page describes rotating floral propellers and night lighting. For Nepali visitors who will fly home on a Gulf carrier, it is an easy family photo with a story attached.
It is big enough that you need to step well back to fit the whole aircraft in a phone frame. Stand at the far side of the path facing the nose for the classic shot, and come back after dark if you want the lit version.
What changes during the season
The garden is replanted and rearranged as the months go on, so a November visit and a March visit can look quite different. Early in the season some beds are still filling in; the official FAQ calls November to March the time of "the coolest weather and fullest blooms". Alongside the flowers, Season 15 adds daily extras included with a regular ticket after 9:00 am, such as a kids activity corner and live buskers, plus separately ticketed events. Two that are on the official events page now: a Halloween festival and parade on 31 October and 1 November 2026 (4:00 pm to 7:00 pm), and a "Bloom and Glow" Diwali festival with a parade and rangoli in November, held before 9:00 am. Nepali families visiting around Tihar may find the Diwali morning a nice touch, but remember it needs its own event ticket.

What is the best time of day to visit?
The best time to visit Dubai Miracle Garden is a weekday morning between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, or late afternoon from about 4:00 pm. That is the official advice, and it matches what heat and light do here: mornings are cooler and quieter, and a late afternoon arrival lets you see the displays in daylight and then lit up after sunset. The middle of the day is the hardest time, because shade is limited in parts of the garden and the paths reflect the sun.
Heat and sunset by month
The table below uses average daily highs for Dubai International Airport (NOAA 1991 to 2020 normals) and approximate sunset times for around the 21st of each month. Dubai stays on UTC+4 all year with no daylight saving.
| Month | Average daily high | Approx. sunset | Garden advice |
|---|---|---|---|
| October | About 35.9C | About 5:45 pm | Early season; go at 9:00 am or arrive about 4:00 pm |
| November | About 30.7C | About 5:30 pm | Comfortable; mornings and evenings both work; Tihar travel window |
| December | About 26.5C | About 5:35 pm | Very pleasant; busiest weeks around the UAE school break and New Year |
| January | About 24.4C | About 5:55 pm | Coolest month; any time of day is fine; a light layer for evenings |
| February | About 26.1C | About 6:15 pm | Excellent; Ramadan expected from around 8 February 2027 |
| March | About 28.9C | About 6:30 pm | Still comfortable; full blooms |
| April | About 33.7C | About 6:45 pm | Warmer and less crowded; avoid midday |
| May | About 38.2C | About 7:00 pm | Hot; go at opening or near sunset; check the closing date |

Morning or evening: which suits you?
| Visit window | Why it works | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Weekday, 9:00 am to 11:00 am | Fewest crowds, coolest temperatures, soft light for photos | Morning events in October and November can bring groups before 9:00 am |
| Late afternoon, from about 4:00 pm | Daylight photos, sunset, then the lit displays | Busier, especially on weekends |
| After dark | Illuminated A380, Floral Castle and Heart Tunnel | Flower colours are harder to photograph; check the closing time |
| Midday | Fine in December and January | Hard work from April onwards; limited shade in some areas |

For photographers, the official guidance is morning and golden hour for natural light, and evening for the illuminations. Personal phones and casual cameras are welcome, but drones are banned outright, and tripods, professional equipment and commercial shoots such as weddings and engagement sessions need prior approval from the garden's management office. Couples planning a pre-wedding style shoot should arrange this before the trip, not at the gate.

How do you get to Dubai Miracle Garden?
There is no metro station at Dubai Miracle Garden. The nearest is Mall of the Emirates on the Red Line; from there it is a short taxi ride of about 10 to 15 minutes, or the seasonal RTA bus 105, which the garden says runs directly from Mall of the Emirates to the garden. A taxi or ride hailing car from your hotel is the simplest option for families, and the garden has on-site parking if you are driving.
| How you travel | Route | Best for | Tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metro plus taxi | Red Line to Mall of the Emirates, then taxi (about 10 to 15 minutes) | Travellers staying near the Red Line | Use the taxi rank at the mall or a ride hailing app |
| Metro plus bus 105 | Red Line to Mall of the Emirates, then RTA bus 105 from the bus station to the garden | Budget travellers and solo visitors | Seasonal route; pay with a Nol card; check times on RTA's S'hail app |
| Taxi or ride hailing | Direct from anywhere in Dubai (RTA taxi, Careem or Uber) | Families, elderly parents, wheelchairs | Ask for "Dubai Miracle Garden, Al Barsha South 3" |
| Own or hired car | Drive to Al Barsha South 3 using GPS 25.0600069, 55.2418898 | UAE residents and diaspora families | On-site parking is generally free; weekends and holidays fill up |
| From Downtown Dubai | Taxi, roughly 25 minutes in normal traffic | Visitors staying near the Burj Khalifa | Allow more at evening rush hour |

About the bus from Mall of the Emirates
RTA opened the Mall of the Emirates Smart Bus Station on 10 May 2026, directly connected to the metro station, and the Dubai Media Office said it handles 11 routes, including two seasonal ones, and named Dubai Miracle Garden and Global Village among the tourist destinations it serves. The station has real-time arrival screens and ticket top-up machines. Route numbers and frequencies are set each season; when RTA last announced the Miracle Garden route in 2021, route 105 ran every 30 minutes from Sunday to Thursday and every 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday, but we could not find a published Season 15 timetable, so check the S'hail app or RTA's 800 9090 line on the day.
A practical point for elderly parents: the metro and bus route involves a walk through Mall of the Emirates and a wait at the bus station, then a long walk inside the garden. If anyone in your group tires easily, a taxi door to door saves their energy for the flowers. Our guide to the best areas to stay in Dubai explains which neighbourhoods sit close to the Red Line and Al Barsha.
Is the Butterfly Garden worth adding?

Yes, for most families the Dubai Butterfly Garden is worth adding, because it sits right next to the Miracle Garden, it is indoors and climate controlled, and it fills the hottest part of the day. It is a separate attraction with its own entrance and ticket; you can buy it alone or as a combo with the Miracle Garden. The official FAQ suggests allowing an extra 1 to 2 hours.
The Butterfly Garden page describes it as the world's largest covered butterfly garden, with 8,000 to 10,000 butterflies from more than 50 species flying freely in domes kept at 18C to 25C all year. There is a butterfly museum with artworks made from real butterflies, an educational area showing the life cycle from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis, and a small kids' cinema with snacks. Unlike the Miracle Garden, it is open all year, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
| Compare | Dubai Miracle Garden | Dubai Butterfly Garden |
|---|---|---|
| Setting | Outdoor, about 72,000 square metres | Indoor domes, climate controlled at 18C to 25C |
| Season | October to late spring; closed in summer | Open all year |
| Hours | From 9:00 am; closes 9:00 pm, possibly up to 11:00 pm on weekends (official pages differ) | 9:00 am to 6:00 pm |
| Main draw | Giant floral sculptures and photo spots | 8,000 to 10,000 butterflies, 50+ species |
| Time to allow | 2 to 3 hours | 1 to 2 hours extra (official FAQ); the Butterfly Garden page suggests 2 to 3 hours |

Checked: 27 Oct 2026. Sources: dubaimiraclegarden.com/butterfly-garden and FAQ ("Is Butterfly Garden inside Miracle Garden?" and "How long should I spend?").
Who might skip it
Skip the Butterfly Garden if anyone in your group is uneasy with insects landing nearby, or if you are visiting in the evening only, since it closes at 6:00 pm. Couples on a tight schedule who mainly want the floral photo spots may also prefer to spend the extra hour elsewhere. For children aged about 3 to 10, though, it is often the part they talk about afterwards.
The best order on the day
Because the Miracle Garden ticket is single entry, decide the order before you go in. On a morning visit, walk the Miracle Garden first while it is cool, then move into the Butterfly Garden as the sun climbs. On an afternoon visit, do the Butterfly Garden first (it closes at 6:00 pm), then enter the Miracle Garden for the late light and the illuminations.
Is it good for kids and elderly parents?

Yes. Dubai Miracle Garden is one of the easier big outings in Dubai for mixed age groups: the paths are smooth and paved, strollers and wheelchairs can reach most areas, and there are restrooms, prayer rooms, first aid and shaded seating on site. The main challenge is distance and sun, not access, so plan the time of day and the pace around the oldest and youngest in your group.
| Need | What the garden offers | Our tip |
|---|---|---|
| Wheelchair users | Smooth, paved, wheelchair friendly paths; wheelchairs may be available at the main gate (an ID deposit may be required) | Ask at the gate on arrival; some elevated viewpoints have stairs |
| Limited mobility | Mobility carts may be available; ask staff at the entrance | Not guaranteed, so arrive early on busy days |
| People of Determination | Free entry with a valid POD ID; companions may get a reduced rate | Carry the ID card |
| Strollers | Stroller access throughout most areas | Bring a sun cover for the stroller |
| Restrooms and prayer | Restrooms including accessible facilities; prayer rooms for men and women with ablution facilities | Note their location on the entrance map |
| Rest stops | Shaded seating and rest areas; Hilltop Cafe with views | Plan a sit down every 45 minutes or so with older parents |
| Food | More than 30 food, drink and retail outlets; vegetarian options widely available | Outside food and drinks are not allowed |
| Children's activities | Smurfs Village, Disney themed floral displays, trampoline area, kids activity corner | Weekday mornings are calmer for small children |

Tips for Nepali families hosting parents
Many Nepali families in the UAE bring parents over in the cool months, and the Miracle Garden is a favourite outing because it is colourful, calm and not a thrill ride. A few things help:
- Resident rates need an Emirates ID. The cheaper resident ticket is verified through UAE PASS with a valid Emirates ID, so parents visiting on a tourist visa will normally need the general admission ticket. Children under 3 enter free.
- Vegetarian food is easy. The official FAQ says vegetarian options are widely available, and the food court lists Indian and Asian cuisine among others. That matters for parents who keep a strict vegetarian diet or fast on certain days.
- Go early or late. Older visitors from Kathmandu, where November mornings are cool, often find a 30C afternoon in Dubai tiring. A 9:00 am start or a 4:00 pm arrival is kinder.
- Hats, sunscreen and comfortable shoes. The official FAQ calls comfortable walking shoes "essential" and advises sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses because shade is limited in some areas.
- Medicines. Carry any daily medicines in your bag; the garden has first aid, but you will be walking for hours.
- Senior events. The garden's events page lists a morning "Senior Wellness Walk" in November with a companion option for caregivers, sold as a separate event ticket.
For more ideas that suit grandparents and small children, see our guide to Dubai with family.
Can you combine it with Global Village?
Yes, and the timing works neatly: Dubai Miracle Garden opens at 9:00 am, while Global Village opens in the late afternoon, so you can do the garden in the morning or early afternoon and move on to Global Village for the evening. Both are seasonal outdoor attractions in the Dubailand area, and Property Finder describes Global Village as just 10 minutes away, which in practice means a short taxi ride.

Two ways to plan the day
| Plan | Morning to afternoon | Evening | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Early start | Miracle Garden from 9:00 am, Butterfly Garden late morning, lunch, then a rest at the hotel | Global Village from about 5:00 pm | Elderly parents and young children who need a break |
| Late start | Butterfly Garden early afternoon (closes 6:00 pm), Miracle Garden from about 4:00 pm through sunset | Taxi to Global Village after dark | Couples and photographers who want the lights |
These are timing patterns, not a fixed programme; adjust them to your hotel and your group's energy. Remember that the Miracle Garden ticket is single entry, so the late start plan means leaving for good once you go to Global Village. Without a car, the simplest link is a taxi between the two. By public transport you would go back to the Mall of the Emirates bus station and change to the Global Village route, which takes longer. Our Dubai itinerary shows how a Dubailand day sits alongside Downtown, Old Dubai, the beach and the desert.
What should you know before you go?
The short version: book online, carry your live QR ticket on a charged phone, wear comfortable shoes and sun protection, eat inside rather than bringing food, and leave drones, pets and scooters at home. The garden's rules are strict about picking flowers and stepping into beds, and staff do enforce them.
| Rule or tip | What the garden says |
|---|---|
| Outside food and drinks | Not allowed; no barbecues or picnics. Food is sold inside at extra cost. |
| Drones | Strictly prohibited |
| Tripods and professional cameras | Need prior approval from the management office |
| Pets | Not permitted (certified service animals excepted) |
| Bicycles, scooters, hoverboards, balls | Not permitted |
| Smoking | Prohibited throughout the garden |
| Flowers | No picking; stay on the paths and out of the beds |
| Re-entry | Not allowed; tickets are single entry |
| QR ticket | Keep the live QR ready; the FAQ warns screenshots may not always be accepted |
| Bad weather | The garden may close temporarily in severe conditions; refunds are typically not issued |
| Dress | No strict dress code; modest, weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes recommended |
| Facilities | Restrooms, prayer rooms, first aid, souvenir shops, shaded seating and free Wi-Fi in main zones |
Checked: 27 Oct 2026. Source: dubaimiraclegarden.com FAQ and visitor rules.
How long should you plan for?
Plan 2 to 3 hours for the Miracle Garden at a comfortable pace with photos, which is the official estimate. Families with children and keen photographers often stay longer. Add 1 to 2 hours for the Butterfly Garden and about 30 minutes for food. Including the taxi each way from central Dubai, a garden visit takes a half day; with Global Village afterwards, it becomes a full day and evening.
Packing list
- Phone with the QR ticket saved, plus a power bank (the official FAQ suggests one for photos)
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, even in December
- A light jacket or shawl for evening visits in December to February
- Emirates ID or passport if you booked a resident, child or POD ticket that may need verification
- Any daily medicines
Planning the trip from Kathmandu
From Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), flydubai flies non-stop to Dubai International (DXB) with a scheduled flight time of about 5 hours, and lists 34 direct flights a week on the route. Other airlines also link Kathmandu with Dubai and the wider UAE; our map of direct flights from Kathmandu lists the current routes. On entry, Nepali passport holders need a UAE visa arranged before they fly, and our visa guidance page is the place to start.
| Planning point | What to know |
|---|---|
| Flights from Kathmandu | Non-stop KTM to DXB on flydubai, about 4 hours 59 minutes scheduled |
| Time difference | Dubai is 1 hour 45 minutes behind Nepal |
| Dashain 2026 | National holiday 17 to 23 October 2026, already past for this season |
| Tihar 2026 | National holiday 8 to 12 November 2026; the garden's Diwali morning event falls in November |
| Chhath 2026 | 15 November 2026 |
| Winter school holidays | Many Kathmandu schools take a winter break around late December and January (dates vary by school); the UAE school break runs from mid December into early January, so the garden is busy then |
| Quieter times at the garden | Weekday mornings at any point in the season; the official FAQ says April is less crowded, though warmer |

Tihar is the natural window for a Nepali family trip this season: the weather in Dubai is comfortable by mid November, the garden is in full swing, and you avoid the December rush. If you are flying in over Christmas or New Year, book flights and hotels early, then pick a weekday morning for the garden. Before you go, a policy from our guide to travel insurance from Nepal is worth having, especially when travelling with older parents. The tower, the fountain and Downtown make a good contrast to a garden day, and our Burj Khalifa guide covers deck choice and sunset slots.

Dubai Miracle Garden opened its 15th season on Thursday 8 October 2026. It is expected to run until 31 May 2027 (Khaleej Times); confirm before a late-May visit, because the official website has not posted a closing date yet. Last season ended on 31 May 2026.
Is Dubai Miracle Garden open in summer?
No. Dubai Miracle Garden closes every summer, usually from about June to late September or October, because outdoor flowers cannot survive the heat and the beds are replanted. The Dubai Butterfly Garden next door is indoors and climate controlled, and stays open all year from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
How long do you need at Dubai Miracle Garden?

Is there a metro to Dubai Miracle Garden?
No metro station serves Dubai Miracle Garden directly. Take the Red Line to Mall of the Emirates, then a taxi of about 10 to 15 minutes, or the seasonal RTA bus 105 from the Mall of the Emirates bus station. A taxi or ride hailing car from your hotel is easiest with children or parents.
Is Dubai Miracle Garden open on weekdays?
Yes. Dubai Miracle Garden is open every day during the season. The official FAQ gives 9:00 am to 9:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and up to 11:00 pm from Friday to Sunday, but the site footer says 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily, so re-check the official site for your date. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing, and weekday mornings are the quietest time to visit.
