Vietnam Honeymoon Guide: Romantic Places and Best Season

26 min read 29 Oct 2026
Rows of colourful silk lanterns lit up in Hoi An Old Town after dark

Short answer: A Vietnam honeymoon works well for most couples because one country gives you lantern-lit old towns, limestone bays, cool mountains and warm island beaches. The catch is weather: Vietnam is long and thin, so the north, the centre and the south have different seasons. For a November to February wedding, the south and Phu Quoc are the safest bet for sun, the north is dry but cool, and the central coast is wet until about January.

This guide is written for couples planning a honeymoon in Vietnam, with extra detail for Nepali couples who marry in the winter lagan and fly out of Kathmandu. It explains which romantic places suit which month, how to split your time between regions without spending the trip in transit, and what to expect from a Ha Long Bay cruise. For the wider picture of the country, start with our complete Vietnam travel guide.

Is Vietnam good for a honeymoon?

Yes. Vietnam is a strong honeymoon choice if you want variety and atmosphere rather than a single resort. In one trip you can walk a UNESCO-listed old town by lantern light, sleep on a boat among limestone islands, and finish on a calm island beach. It suits couples who enjoy food, culture and a little movement, and it rewards a slower pace.

Here is what makes it work for newlyweds:

  • Several kinds of romance in one country. Heritage towns (Hoi An, Hue), seascapes (Ha Long Bay), mountains (Sa Pa, Da Lat) and island beaches (Phu Quoc, Da Nang) are all connected by short domestic flights.
  • Two UNESCO World Heritage sites that couples love. UNESCO describes Hoi An Ancient Town as "an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century", and the Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Archipelago site covers 1,133 islands and islets of sea-flooded limestone.
  • Food that is half the experience. Street food, cooking classes and riverside dinners give you shared moments that do not need a schedule. Our guide to what to eat in Vietnam covers the dishes worth seeking out.
  • A choice of comfort levels. You can mix boutique heritage hotels, overnight cruise cabins and beach resorts, so a honeymoon does not have to feel like a backpacking trip.

It is also honest to name the downsides. Cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are noisy, with heavy motorbike traffic. The most famous romantic spots, especially Hoi An at dusk and the main Ha Long Bay routes, get crowded. And because the seasons differ by region, the wrong route in the wrong month can mean grey skies in the north or heavy rain on the central coast. The rest of this guide is about avoiding that.

Who Vietnam suits best, and who might prefer somewhere else

Couple typeHow well Vietnam fitsWhy
Food and culture loversVery wellOld towns, markets, cooking classes and night walks are the core of the trip.
Couples who want scenery and photosVery wellHa Long Bay, rice terraces around Sa Pa and Hoi An's lanterns are some of Asia's most photographed views.
Beach-first couplesWell, if you pick the right month and islandPhu Quoc and the south are reliable in the dry months; the central coast is better from late winter into spring.
Couples who want to stay in one resort all weekLess wellVietnam shines when you move between two or three bases. A single-resort holiday may suit an island destination better.
Vegetarian couplesWell, with a little planningBuddhist vegetarian restaurants are common; you need to ask for no fish sauce.

Which places in Vietnam are most romantic?

The most romantic places in Vietnam for most couples are Hoi An, Ha Long Bay, Phu Quoc, Da Nang and Sa Pa, with Da Lat and Hue as quieter extras. Hoi An is the classic pick for evenings, Ha Long Bay for one unforgettable night, Phu Quoc for beach time, and Sa Pa for mountain views. The best mix depends on your month, which the next section covers.

For a broader list beyond honeymoon spots, see our guide to the best places to visit in Vietnam.

Season notes in this table come from Vietnam's official tourism board and its weather and climate guide, and the met service climate normals listed in the next section. Checked: October 2026.

Hoi An: the most romantic evenings in Vietnam

Lantern lit shopfronts, cyclists and strolling visitors on a riverside street in Hoi An Old Town

Hoi An is the place most couples remember. UNESCO counts 1,107 timber-frame buildings in the Ancient Town, many backing onto the Thu Bon River. In the evening, the town glows with lanterns, small boats drift on the river, and the pace slows right down.

Vietnam's tourism board lists cycling through the countryside to Cam Thanh, a sunset boat on the Thu Bon, a cooking class, having clothes tailored, and a lazy morning at An Bang Beach, which it places 7 km outside the Ancient Town. A practical tip for couples: walk the old town early in the morning as well as at night. The same streets feel completely different without the crowds.

If you can time it, the monthly full-moon evening is the highlight. We list the upcoming dates in the weather section below, and our Hoi An lantern festival guide explains what happens on the night.

Ha Long Bay: one night among the limestone islands

Cruise boats anchored among the green limestone karsts of Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam

Ha Long Bay is the classic "wow" moment of northern Vietnam. Vietnam's tourism board puts it at about two and a half hours by road from Hanoi on the expressway, with cruises leaving from Tuan Chau and Bai Chay ports. It suggests kayaking just before sunset to see quiet lagoons and fishing boats up close. The tourism board also points to neighbouring Lan Ha Bay, a quieter stretch of the same limestone seascape. We look at whether an overnight cruise is worth it later in this guide, and our Ha Long Bay guide covers the bay in depth.

Phu Quoc: the island for winter sunshine

Palm trees and the Phu Quoc letters on a sandy beach at sunset

Phu Quoc, an island off Vietnam's southwest coast, is the most reliable beach base for a winter honeymoon. Vietnam's tourism board calls it "a sublime tropical escape in December and January" and advises avoiding the rainy season from July through September.

For couples, the west coast around Long Beach is the sunset side, Bai Sao in the east is the postcard beach, and Ganh Dau in the north is quieter. You can also take the long cable car to Hon Thom island, go island hopping among the smaller islands of the archipelago, or eat seafood at the night market. The tourism board notes that direct domestic flights reach Phu Quoc from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Can Tho and Da Nang. For a wider comparison of Vietnam's coast, see our best beaches in Vietnam guide.

Da Nang: beach city and gateway to Hoi An

The Dragon Bridge crossing the Han River in Da Nang at sunset with the city skyline

Da Nang works as a comfortable base with a long city beach. Vietnam's tourism board highlights My Khe Beach, the Marble Mountains with their caves and pagodas, the Lady Buddha statue on the Son Tra Peninsula, and the Hai Van Pass, one of the country's great scenic drives. Da Nang's airport is also the usual way in for Hoi An.

The timing matters here. The tourism board lists Da Nang's rainy season as November to February and its ideal beach months as March to May and September to October. A late February or March wedding fits nicely; a December one usually does not. Our list of things to do in Da Nang includes the Golden Bridge, the famous walkway held up by a pair of giant hands in the hills above the city.

Sa Pa: mountain romance, best for couples who like the cold

Green rice terraces stepping down a mountain valley near Sapa in northern Vietnam

Sa Pa in the far north offers terraced valleys and a cable car that, according to Vietnam's tourism board, takes about 15 minutes to reach the 3,143 m summit of Fansipan. The board describes the area as "cool all year with misty mornings, cold winters and occasional frost around Fansipan". In a cold spell in late January 2025, Voice of Vietnam reported frost and snow on the Fansipan summit.

For Nepali couples, Sa Pa may feel familiar rather than exotic, a little like a hill town back home. That can be a plus if you want a cosy lodge and mountain walks, or a reason to skip it if you would rather spend your nights on warm beaches. November is the gentlest winter month to go.

Da Lat and Hue: quieter extras

Da Lat, in the Central Highlands, is a pine-covered hill city that Vietnam's tourism board says "is now synonymous with romance" in Vietnam. Its rainy season runs from April to October, so it is dry during a November to March honeymoon. Hue, the former imperial capital, suits couples who love history and slow river boats; the tourism board lists February to April as the best time and warns of heavy rain from September to November.

Which region has the best weather in your wedding month?

For a November to February wedding, the south of Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta and Phu Quoc) has the most reliable dry, warm weather. The north is mostly dry in November and December but turns cold and grey from late December. The central coast (Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue) gets its heaviest rain from about September to December and becomes a good choice from February.

This matters most for Nepali couples, because the main wedding seasons fall in winter. As Onlinekhabar explains, Mangsir (roughly mid-November to mid-December) is a favoured wedding month, and most other weddings take place from Magh onwards (from about mid-January), while Chaitra (mid-March to mid-April) is avoided. Exact lagan dates change every year, so check your family's patro, but the pattern is clear: many Nepali honeymoons start in late November, December, late January or February.

For more month-by-month detail beyond honeymoons, see our guide to the best time to visit Vietnam.

Region by month: November to March at a glance

Month (Nepali month)North (Hanoi, Ha Long, Sa Pa)Centre (Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue)South (Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc)Best honeymoon focus
November (Kartik to Mangsir)Good: dry, mild days; Sa Pa coolPoor: peak rain and flood riskGood: end of the wet season, drying outNorth plus south; skip the central coast
December (Mangsir to Poush)Fair: dry but cool; Sa Pa coldPoor to fair: still wetVery good: dry and warmSouth and Phu Quoc, with Hanoi and Ha Long if you pack layers
January (Poush to Magh)Fair: cold, often grey; occasional frost on FansipanFair: rain easingVery good: driest stretchSouth and Phu Quoc; add Hoi An late in the month
February (Magh to Falgun)Fair: cool and damp; Tet holiday busyGood: dry season beginsVery good: dry and hotCentre plus south, the best all-round month for beaches and old towns
March (Falgun to Chaitra)Fair to good: warming, still some grey daysGood: dry, warmGood: hot and dryAll three regions work; Vietnam's tourism board calls March to May the best countrywide weather

Nepali months overlap Gregorian months by about half a month, so the pairings above are approximate.

What the climate numbers say

The table below uses the 1991 to 2020 climate normals that the Viet Nam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration supplies to the World Meteorological Organization's World Weather Information Service. These are long-term averages, not a forecast for your dates. Checked: October 2026, WMO World Weather Information Service.

MonthHanoi (north): low to high, rainfallDa Nang (centre): low to high, rainfallHo Chi Minh City (south): low to high, rainfall
November19.2 to 26.3°C, 48 mm, 7 rain days22.5 to 27.7°C, 486 mm, 21 rain days24.9 to 32.4°C, 128 mm, 9 rain days
December15.4 to 22.1°C, 24 mm, 7 rain days20.5 to 25.3°C, 272 mm, 21 rain days23.9 to 31.6°C, 41 mm, 5 rain days
January14.6 to 20.0°C, 28 mm, 11 rain days19.7 to 25.2°C, 83 mm, 14 rain days23.4 to 32.0°C, 12 mm, 2 rain days
February16.2 to 21.3°C, 19 mm, 12 rain days20.4 to 26.3°C, 22 mm, 7 rain days23.1 to 32.7°C, 8 mm, 1 rain day
March18.7 to 23.5°C, 55 mm, 18 rain days22.1 to 28.4°C, 36 mm, 7 rain days24.9 to 33.6°C, 18 mm, 1 rain day

Three things stand out for honeymoon planning:

  • Da Nang's November is the wettest honeymoon month in the table, with 486 mm of rain on average, about ten times Hanoi's total for the same month. This is why we suggest skipping the central coast for Mangsir weddings, or treating Hoi An as an evening visit you are happy to enjoy under an umbrella.
  • Hanoi in January and February has many rain days but little rain. Twelve rain days delivering only 19 mm in February points to grey, damp days rather than downpours. Vietnam's tourism board says Hanoi is "surprisingly cold" from late December to March, with lows of about 10°C on colder nights. Pack a warm jacket.
  • Ho Chi Minh City is almost dry from December to March, with one to five rain days a month. There is no WMO station for Phu Quoc, but Vietnam's tourism board places the island's rainy season in July to September and calls December and January its best months, which is why it is the beach of choice for winter weddings.

Hoi An full-moon evenings for a winter honeymoon

Hoi An's lantern evenings take place on the 14th day of each lunar month, the night before the full moon. Viet Nam News, republished on the national tourism authority's website, describes residents lighting their houses, restaurants and streets with lanterns on the 14th and 15th lunar days. The dates below are worked out from the Hong Kong Observatory's official Gregorian-Lunar calendar conversion tables.

Lunar month14th lunar day (lantern evening)Weather note for Hoi An
10th lunar monthSunday 22 November 2026Peak rainy season; possible flooding
11th lunar monthTuesday 22 December 2026Still wet
12th lunar monthThursday 21 January 2027Rain easing
1st lunar monthFriday 19 February 2027Dry season starting; close to Tet, so expect crowds
2nd lunar monthSunday 21 March 2027Dry and warm

Dates calculated from the Hong Kong Observatory Gregorian-Lunar calendar conversion tables for 2026 and 2027. Vietnam's lunar calendar usually matches these dates but can occasionally differ by a day, and local events can change, so confirm with your hotel in Hoi An before you plan around a specific night. Checked: October 2026.

Tet, the Lunar New Year: a timing trap for February weddings

Tet is Vietnam's biggest holiday. On the Hong Kong Observatory lunar table, the first day of the 2027 lunar year falls on Saturday 6 February 2027; Vietnam's official holiday dates are announced by its government. Vietnam's tourism board warns that many businesses and restaurants close for at least the first few days of Tet, and that buses, trains, flights and hotel rooms are in heavy demand as families travel home. If your lagan lands in early February, either travel just before the holiday week, or plan a slower beach stay where resort services carry on, and book domestic flights early.

Is Vietnam better than Bali for a winter honeymoon?

For a November to February wedding, Vietnam often has the edge on weather. WMO climate normals for Denpasar in Bali show 276 mm of rain in December, 345 mm in January and 274 mm in February, the wettest stretch of Bali's year, while Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc are in their dry season. Bali has its own strengths, including villas with private pools and a compact island to explore. If you are weighing the two, read our Bali honeymoon guide and the wider list of honeymoon destinations from Nepal. If Thailand is also on your shortlist, our comparison of Vietnam or Thailand sets the two side by side.

Is a Ha Long Bay overnight cruise worth it for couples?

Cruise boat sailing between limestone karst islands in Ha Long Bay on a misty evening

For most couples, yes: an overnight cruise is the best way to see Ha Long Bay. The bay is about two and a half hours by road from Hanoi, so a day trip spends much of its time on the highway and a few hours on the water. Staying one night gives you the sunset, a quiet evening on deck and an early morning among the islands, which is when the bay is at its most romantic.

What an overnight cruise gives you that a day trip does not

PointDay tripOvernight cruise (one night)
Time on the waterA few hours between long road transfersAn afternoon, evening and following morning
Sunset and sunriseUsually missedBoth, weather allowing
KayakingSometimes, in a busy slotOften timed for late afternoon, which the tourism board recommends
FeelSightseeingA short private escape; the part of the trip many couples remember most
Best forVery tight schedulesHoneymooners

Choosing the right cruise for a honeymoon

  • Ask about the route. Ha Long Bay and neighbouring Lan Ha Bay both host cruises. The busiest routes can feel crowded with boats; quieter routes cost more time on the transfer. Decide which matters more to you.
  • Look at the cabin, not just the boat. A private balcony or a large window makes a real difference in cool, misty months when you may spend more time inside.
  • One night is usually enough. Two nights suit couples who want to slow down completely; for most honeymoons, one night plus Hanoi and a southern beach is a better balance.
  • Vegetarian meals. Tell the cruise when you book. Most menus lean heavily on seafood.

Weather and safety: storms can stop cruises

Ha Long Bay cruises depend on the weather, and the authorities do stop them. On 19 July 2025, the tourist boat Vinh Xanh 58 capsized in a sudden storm in Ha Long Bay, with dozens of deaths reported by Vietnamese state media. The next day, ahead of Typhoon Wipha, the Quang Ninh provincial authorities stopped issuing departure permits for tourist boats and suspended tours and overnight stays on the bay, according to VTC News and Tuoi Tre News.

What this means for a honeymoon:

  • Tropical storms are most likely in the summer and early autumn, but Vietnam's tourism board warns that heavy mist and storms can cause cruise cancellations at other times of year too.
  • When a storm is forecast, the provincial authorities can stop tourist boats leaving port, as they did in July 2025. Build one spare day into the north of your trip so a cancelled cruise can be moved rather than lost.
  • Ask your cruise operator how they handle weather cancellations before you book, and read the terms of your travel insurance on missed activities.
  • In December and January, the bay is more likely to be cold and misty than stormy. Vietnam's tourism board warns that January can be "frigid" on the water, so bring warm layers for the deck.

Checked: October 2026, VTC News (20 July 2025), Tuoi Tre News (20 July 2025) and vietnam.travel.

How do you split a honeymoon between north, centre and south?

Pick a maximum of three bases, and choose them by your wedding month rather than by a fixed route. For a November or December wedding, pair the north (Hanoi and Ha Long Bay) with the south (Phu Quoc). For a February or March wedding, pair the centre (Hoi An and Da Nang) with the south, and add the north if you have more time.

The three-base rule

Vietnam is long. Hanoi in the north and Phu Quoc in the far south are connected by direct flights, but every move still costs you hotel check-outs, airport time and transfers. On a honeymoon, that transit time is the enemy.

  • Two bases suit 7 to 8 nights: one culture base and one beach base.
  • Three bases suit 10 to 12 nights. An overnight cruise counts as a base.
  • Stay at least three nights in each land base, and finish with your longest, slowest stay so you go home rested.
  • Fly in and out of different cities if you can. Arriving in Hanoi and leaving from Ho Chi Minh City, or the other way round, avoids flying back across the country.

Which regional pairing fits your wedding month?

Wedding monthBest pairingWhy it worksWhat to leave out
Late November (Mangsir)Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, then Phu QuocThe north is dry and mild; the south is drying outDa Nang and Hoi An beach time (peak rain)
December (Mangsir to Poush)Phu Quoc or the south first, then a short Hanoi and Ha Long stayWarm beach days; the north is dry, if coolCentral coast beach days; Sa Pa unless you want cold
Late January (Magh)Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc, with Hoi An if the forecast looks dryThe south is at its driestLong stays in the cold, grey north
February (Magh to Falgun)Hoi An and Da Nang, then Phu QuocThe centre's dry season is starting; the south is dryTravel days in Tet week
March (Falgun)Any two or three regionsThe whole country is reasonable; the centre and south are warm and dryNothing in particular; keep the pace slow

Pacing tips that keep a honeymoon relaxed

  • Plan one "nothing" day per base. Couples coming straight from a Nepali wedding, with days of rituals and family gatherings, are often more tired than they expect.
  • Do the busy city first. Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City suits the first days when you still have energy; our lists of things to do in Hanoi and things to do in Ho Chi Minh City help you choose a few good evenings out. Save beaches for the end.
  • Keep evenings free in Hoi An. The old town is at its best after dark, so plan day trips in the morning.
  • Do not chase every sight. Vietnam has far more than one trip can hold. Our guides to things to do in Vietnam and the best cities in Vietnam are useful for choosing, not for ticking off.

How many days do you need for a Vietnam honeymoon?

Most couples need 7 to 12 nights for a Vietnam honeymoon. Seven or eight nights is enough for two regions without rushing, and 10 to 12 nights allows three regions, including a Ha Long Bay cruise. With fewer than six nights, pick one region and one beach or old town rather than trying to cover the country.

Trip lengthHow many basesGood fit forWhat to expect
5 to 6 nights1 or 2Couples with limited leaveOne region only: for example Hoi An and Da Nang, or Phu Quoc alone
7 to 8 nights2Most honeymoonsOne culture base and one beach base, with one domestic flight
10 to 12 nights3Couples who want north, centre or south varietyTwo domestic flights and an overnight cruise; still room for slow days
14 nights or more3, with longer staysLong breaks, diaspora couples combining a trip with time offDo not add more bases; stay longer in each

Remember that the international journey from Kathmandu takes most of a day each way, because there is a connection. Count your arrival and departure days as travel days, not holiday days. For route ideas at different lengths, our Vietnam itinerary guide sets out several options.

Practical comfort for couples

A few things that make the days easier, especially for first-time international travellers. Our pre-trip checklist covers the essentials to sort out before you leave Nepal.

  • Vegetarian food. Vietnam's tourism board, in its vegetarian guide to Vietnam, says "chay" is "the magic word". Look for signs reading "quán chay" or "cơm chay", say "Tôi ăn chay" (I am vegetarian), and add "Không nước mắm" (no fish sauce) when ordering. It adds that many Buddhists eat meat-free on the 1st and 15th of each lunar month, when vegetarian choices are even wider.
  • Clothing. Pack layers if any part of your trip is in the north between December and March. Light, modest clothing helps at pagodas and temples.
  • Money. Vietnam uses the Vietnamese dong (VND). Plan how much foreign currency you can carry from Nepal before you leave; our guide to the foreign currency limit from Nepal explains the rules.
  • Local etiquette. A few simple habits go a long way; see our dos and don'ts in Vietnam.

How do you get to Vietnam from Kathmandu?

There is no regular direct flight between Kathmandu and Vietnam at the time of writing, so most couples connect through a regional hub such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Delhi, then fly on to Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City. Schedules change, so confirm the routing when you book. Choose your arrival city by your route: Hanoi for a north-first trip, Ho Chi Minh City for a south-first trip, and Da Nang when you start with Hoi An. Checked: October 2026.

Our guide to direct flights from Kathmandu explains which hubs you can reach non-stop and how the Vietnam connections work. A few tips specific to honeymooners:

  • Know your first leg. Our route guides for Kathmandu to Bangkok flights, flights from Kathmandu to Kuala Lumpur and the Kathmandu to Delhi route cover the hub you are most likely to use.
  • Allow a comfortable connection. A rushed transfer is a stressful way to start married life. If your bags are checked through on one ticket, a shorter layover is fine; on separate tickets, leave a generous gap.
  • Use the open-jaw idea. Fly into one end of Vietnam and out of the other, so the connection home starts from your last base.
  • Prepare for departure day in Kathmandu. Arrive early at Tribhuvan International Airport; our Kathmandu international departure guide walks you through the process.
  • Diaspora couples living abroad can often fly to Vietnam from their home country without going through Kathmandu. Plan the route from wherever you are based.

Entry rules depend on your passport and change from time to time, so check the current entry rules for your passport on our Vietnam visa page before you book.

Frequently asked questions

Is Vietnam good for a honeymoon?

Yes, Vietnam is good for a honeymoon if you enjoy variety. In one trip you can see Hoi An's lantern-lit old town, spend a night on a Ha Long Bay cruise and finish on a Phu Quoc beach. The key is choosing regions that suit your month, because the north, centre and south have different seasons.

Which city in Vietnam is best for couples?

Hoi An is the best town in Vietnam for most couples, thanks to its lantern-lit evenings, river boats, cooking classes and nearby An Bang Beach. It is a small town rather than a city. For a city base, Da Nang combines a long beach with easy access to Hoi An, while Hanoi suits couples who love street life and food.

Is Hoi An romantic?

Yes, Hoi An is one of the most romantic places in Vietnam. Its UNESCO-listed Ancient Town glows with lanterns every evening, and the monthly full-moon night on the 14th lunar day is even more atmospheric. Visit early in the morning too, when the streets are quiet, and avoid the peak rain from September to November if you can.

Is Vietnam cold in December?

Northern Vietnam is cool to cold in December. WMO normals for Hanoi show averages of about 15 to 22°C, and Sa Pa in the mountains is colder, with occasional frost on Fansipan. Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc in the south stay warm, with averages of about 24 to 32°C in Ho Chi Minh City.

Is Phu Quoc good for honeymoon?

Yes, Phu Quoc is one of the best honeymoon bases in Vietnam in the dry winter months, and Vietnam's tourism board calls it "a sublime tropical escape in December and January". Couples go for west-coast sunsets around Long Beach, island hopping and resort stays. The board advises avoiding July to September, the island's rainy season.

How many days are enough for a Vietnam honeymoon?

Seven to eight nights is enough for a relaxed Vietnam honeymoon covering two regions, such as Hoi An and Phu Quoc. Ten to twelve nights allows three regions, including a Ha Long Bay cruise. Keep to a maximum of three bases and count your first and last days as travel days from Kathmandu.

Is a Ha Long Bay cruise good for couples?

Yes, an overnight Ha Long Bay cruise is one of the most romantic experiences in Vietnam, with sunset kayaking, a quiet night among limestone islands and sunrise on deck. One night is usually enough. Cruises depend on the weather, and the authorities can stop departures when a storm is forecast, so keep a spare day in the north.

Is Vietnam better than Bali for honeymoon?

For a November to February honeymoon, Vietnam often has better weather than Bali, because December to February is Bali's wettest season while southern Vietnam is dry. Vietnam offers more variety across regions; Bali offers private pool villas on one compact island. Your wedding month and travel style should decide it.

Is Vietnam good for vegetarian couples?

Yes, vegetarian couples manage well in Vietnam with a few phrases. Look for "quán chay" or "cơm chay" restaurants, say "Tôi ăn chay" (I am vegetarian), and ask for "Không nước mắm" (no fish sauce). Many Buddhists eat vegetarian on the 1st and 15th of each lunar month, when choices are wider.

Vietnam honeymoon kahile jane?

For a Vietnam honeymoon after a Mangsir wedding, go north (Hanoi and Ha Long Bay) and south (Phu Quoc), and skip the rainy central coast. After a Magh or Falgun wedding, February to March is ideal for Hoi An, Da Nang and Phu Quoc. Avoid travelling during Tet week, when Vietnam is busiest.

KayakingSometimes, in a busy slotOften timed for late afternoon, which the tourism board recommends
FeelSightseeingA short private escape; the part of the trip many couples remember most
