How much is a flight from Kathmandu to Vietnam?
A return economy ticket from Kathmandu to Vietnam costs about NRs 71,700 to 1,09,900, depending on the city. There are no direct flights, so every route has at least one stop.
- Kathmandu to Hanoi: KAYAK's route page (checked 30 Sep 2026) showed typical round-trip fares of US$512 to US$714, about NRs 78,800 to 1,09,900. Thai Airways' own page showed round-trip economy from NRs 1,02,909 for early to mid-November 2026. The fastest connection, via Bangkok on Thai Airways, takes about 8 hours; many options take 14 hours or more.
- Kathmandu to Ho Chi Minh City: KAYAK showed typical round-trip fares of US$466 to US$603, about NRs 71,700 to 92,800, with the fastest trips of about 8 to 10 hours via Kunming or Delhi.
- Common connections: Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Kunming and Delhi.
- Cheaper months: KAYAK's data showed March as the lowest-fare month for Hanoi and July for Ho Chi Minh City.

How much is the Vietnam visa for Nepali passport holders?
Nepali passport holders need a Vietnam e-Visa before they fly. The e-Visa allows stays of up to 90 days, for a single or multiple entries, and you apply online through the official portal, evisa.gov.vn. The US Embassy in Vietnam's visa page (updated June 2026) lists the fee as US$25 for single entry and US$50 for multiple entries, which is about NRs 3,850 and NRs 7,700. We could not open evisa.gov.vn itself on 30 Sep 2026, so confirm the fee on the portal when you pay.
- Use only the official portal. Lookalike websites exist that add their own charges; the government portal is evisa.gov.vn.

- Phu Quoc: Phu Quoc island has its own visa exemption for visitors who arrive directly from abroad and stay only on the island. It does not cover mainland cities, so check with us before relying on it.

The 6-day tour starts in Hanoi and ends in Da Nang, so it needs an "open-jaw" ticket (into Hanoi, home from Da Nang) plus the Hanoi to Da Nang domestic flight, which is not in the package.
