A 5-day Dubai trip from Nepal costs about NRs 1,18,000 to 1,99,000 per person, plus the UAE visa. That is our estimate built from a Kathmandu to Dubai return fare of about NRs 66,000 to 89,000, four nights in a 3 or 4-star hotel shared by two, a desert safari, the Burj Khalifa and daily spending. A 7-day Dubai trip with an Abu Dhabi day comes to about NRs 1,40,000 to 2,54,000 per person plus the visa. Gomayu's Dubai packages are priced on request, so these figures are an estimate, not our package price.
Prices checked: 1 Oct 2026. Exchange rate used: Nepal Rastra Bank selling rate on 1 Oct 2026, 1 UAE dirham (AED) = NRs 41.83 and 1 US dollar = NRs 153.64. Flight fares and Dubai hotel rates change every day, so treat every range here as a guide, not a quote.
Travel alert (checked 1 Oct 2026): Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports are open, but regional tensions have caused delays and some cancellations, and several foreign airlines have suspended Dubai flights into October. Check the News and Alerts box on our Dubai tour packages page before you book, because fares and schedules can change quickly while this lasts.

Dubai trip cost from Nepal: the estimate for 5 and 7 days
Every total below adds the same parts: a return flight from Kathmandu, a hotel room shared by two (including Dubai's Tourism Dirham fee), the main paid sights and pocket money. The UAE visa is added on top because the government fee and the sponsor's charge depend on the visa you take.
| Cost item (per person) | 5 days, 4 nights | 7 days, 6 nights, with Abu Dhabi |
|---|---|---|
| Kathmandu to Dubai return economy flight | NRs 66,000 to 89,000 | NRs 66,000 to 89,000 |
| 3 or 4-star hotel, twin share, with Tourism Dirham | NRs 17,736 to 45,812 | NRs 26,604 to 68,718 |
| Desert safari and Burj Khalifa (plus Abu Dhabi day on 7 days) | NRs 13,302 to 18,781 | NRs 18,987 to 33,798 |
| Pocket money: meals, water, Metro and taxis, tourist SIM | NRs 20,870 to 45,558 | NRs 28,398 to 62,292 |
| UAE tourist visa | Government fee plus sponsor charge | Government fee plus sponsor charge |
| Estimated total, before the visa | NRs 1,17,908 to 1,99,151 | NRs 1,39,989 to 2,53,808 |
The low end assumes a cheap fare, a simple 3-star room and budget meals; the high end a fuller fare, a better-placed hotel and restaurant meals. Shopping, theme parks and extra tours are not included.

What do Gomayu's Dubai tour packages cost?
Gomayu's Dubai packages are priced on request: we quote each one for your dates, hotel choice and group size rather than showing a fixed "from" price. We have three:
- Dubai Explorer: 5 days, 3 or 4-star hotel, price on request
- Dubai Discovery: 6 days, 3 or 4-star hotel, price on request
- Dubai Premium: 8 days, 5-star hotel with an Abu Dhabi day tour, price on request
Each package covers the hotel, airport pickup and drop, transfers with a driver-cum-guide, the meals named in the itinerary and entry fees for the listed sights. Flights, the UAE visa and insurance are quoted separately, so the estimate on this page is a fair guide to the full trip. Compare all three on our Dubai tour packages page.
How much is a flight from Kathmandu to Dubai?
A return economy ticket from Kathmandu to Dubai costs about NRs 66,000 to 89,000 for most dates. On 1 Oct 2026, KAYAK's route page showed typical return fares of US$431 to US$579 (about NRs 66,219 to 88,958), and Skyscanner's lowest return fare found was US$325 (about NRs 49,933).
- Direct flights: flydubai, Himalaya Airlines and Nepal Airlines fly non-stop from Kathmandu to Dubai. Flying time is about 5 hours.
- One-stop options: mostly via Kuwait City in KAYAK's data. They can cost less but take longer.
- Cheaper months: KAYAK's data shows September as the lowest-fare month on this route and June as the most expensive.
Fares change daily, and Dashain, Tihar and winter holiday seats sell first. Ask us to add the current fare to your quote.
How much is a Dubai hotel per night?
A decent 3 or 4-star double room in Dubai costs about US$55 to US$145 a night for early October 2026 dates on KAYAK, or about NRs 4,434 to 11,453 per person when two share, after adding the Tourism Dirham. KAYAK showed rooms such as Premier Inn Dubai International Airport from US$55, Citymax Bur Dubai from US$59 and Rove Downtown from US$145 for 2 to 9 October.
The Tourism Dirham is a Dubai government fee charged per room per night, for up to 30 nights. The UAE government portal lists it as AED 7 to 20 depending on hotel category: AED 10 for a 3-star, AED 15 for a 4-star and AED 20 for a 5-star hotel. It is usually paid at check-out, so check whether your booking price includes it. In KAYAK's data Dubai hotel rates are lowest in July and highest in December; see where to stay in Dubai for areas.
Do Nepali citizens need a visa for Dubai, and what does it cost?
Yes. Nepali passport holders need a UAE tourist visa issued before they fly to Dubai; there is no visa on arrival for Nepali passports. UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas. The visa is issued by UAE immigration (GDRFA Dubai or ICP) on the application of a UAE sponsor, which for tourists is a licensed UAE tourism company or hotel. When you book a Dubai package, Gomayu arranges the sponsored application for you.
- Two costs: the UAE government visa fee, which differs for a 30-day and a 60-day visa, and the sponsor's or agent's service charge. We quote both separately from the package and confirm the amount when we apply.
- Police clearance: since late 2025, Nepali applicants for UAE visit visas have been asked for a police clearance report from Nepal Police (reported by The Kathmandu Post on 26 Nov 2025, when visas reopened after a temporary suspension). Allow time to get it through the Nepal Police online system.
- Documents: GDRFA Dubai's single-entry tourist visa page asks for a photo, a passport valid at least 6 months, a return or onward ticket and medical insurance valid in the UAE. The visa is issued for 30 or 60 days.
- Timing: start 2 to 3 weeks before travel. The rules for Nepali applicants have changed at short notice before, so we re-check before you pay for anything non-refundable.
At Kathmandu airport, immigration officers look closely at Nepalis leaving on visit visas to Gulf countries. Carry your return ticket, hotel or package confirmation, insurance and proof of funds. A tourist visa does not allow work: working in the UAE needs a work visa and a labour permit from Nepal's Department of Foreign Employment.
How much pocket money do you need per day in Dubai?
Plan on AED 90 to 200 per person per day (about NRs 3,764 to 8,367) if you are not on a package with meals. On a Gomayu package, transfers, breakfast and the listed sights are already paid, so you will spend less.
| Daily item | AED | NRs (at 41.83) |
|---|---|---|
| Two simple meals (lunch and dinner) | 60 to 120 | 2,510 to 5,020 |
| Water, coffee and snacks | 15 to 30 | 627 to 1,255 |
| Metro and taxis | 15 to 50 | 627 to 2,092 |
| Per day | 90 to 200 | 3,764 to 8,367 |
| Tourist SIM, once per trip | 49 to 89 | 2,050 to 3,723 |

Is 1 lakh enough for a Dubai trip?
Only for a short, tight trip with a sale fare. NRs 1 lakh can just cover 4 days in Dubai if you find a fare near Skyscanner's lowest of about NRs 49,933, share a budget 3-star room and spend carefully: NRs 49,933 flight plus NRs 13,302 for 3 nights' hotel, NRs 6,275 desert safari, NRs 7,027 Burj Khalifa, NRs 15,056 pocket money and NRs 2,050 SIM comes to NRs 93,643, before the visa.
For a normal 5-day trip, 1 lakh is not a safe budget. Our estimate starts at about NRs 1,18,000 per person before the visa, and Dashain or Tihar dates push fares and hotel rates up. Plan on about NRs 1,18,000 to 1,99,000 per person, plus the visa.
What is the price of a 7-day Dubai trip from Nepal, including flights?
A 7-day Dubai trip from Nepal including flights costs about NRs 1,40,000 to 2,54,000 per person by our estimate, before the visa. That covers a return flight from Kathmandu, six nights in a shared 3 or 4-star room, a desert safari, the Burj Khalifa, an Abu Dhabi day and seven days of pocket money, as shown in the first table. Our 6-day Dubai Discovery and 8-day Dubai Premium packages are priced on request, so message us on WhatsApp for a quote with the flight included.
How can you spend less on a Dubai trip from Nepal?
- Book the flight early. It is the biggest single cost, and Dashain, Tihar and winter holiday seats sell first.
- Pick your month. Fares were lowest in September and hotels cheapest in July in KAYAK's data, but summer is very hot. See the best time to visit Dubai.
- Use the Metro. A Metro ride costs a few dirhams; taxis add up quickly.
- Choose non-prime hours at the Burj Khalifa. The non-prime ticket costs about AED 70 less than the sunset slot.
- Travel as a family or group. Sharing rooms and transfers cuts the per-person cost.
What does the Gomayu price include and exclude?
On the Dubai Explorer and Dubai Discovery packages, the price includes airport pickup and drop, 3 or 4-star hotel accommodation, the meals named in the itinerary, all transfers in the itinerary, a driver-cum-guide, and entry fees for the listed sights. Dubai Premium uses 5-star hotels.
All three exclude the visa fee, international flights, travel and medical insurance, drinks and personal expenses, optional activities not in the itinerary, and tips for guides and drivers. Because UAE medical insurance is a visa condition, buy a policy before you apply.
Flying from abroad? If you are a Nepali living in Malaysia, Japan, Korea or Australia, your flight cost will differ from a Kathmandu fare. If you already live in another Gulf country, your UAE visa route may also differ, so tell us your departure city and residence status.
